Erin L. Wilkins

Erin Wilkins is an accomplished Sales and Market Development professional who has worked for and with some of the largest IT corporations in the world.  In 1997 Erin went to work as a Sales Associate for IT distributor and Fortune 100 Company Ingram Micro, Inc.  Erin quickly moved up the sales ranks and in 2004 she moved in to Ingram Micro’s Market Development organization as a Market Development Specialist for IBM.  Shortly after this move IBM made the announcement that they were selling their PC business to Lenovo, a China based company with no presence in the United States.  Erin was responsible for leading a successful communications campaign designed to promote the new brand within the distributor’s organization and reseller client base.

In 2007 Erin was promoted to Senior Manager of Market Development where she was responsible for leading a team of 26 direct reports focused on net new recruitment, enablement, demand generation & revenue producing strategies for multiple software companies including Microsoft, IBM, Symantec, VMware and Citrix.  Today Erin continues to work for Ingram Micro and is currently a Senior Sales Manager in the Advanced Computing Division where she manages the HP Enterprise Market Development Team.

Erin is a graduate of Canisius College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Communication and Development.  Her capstone paper was "The Relationship Between Internal Communication and Employee Message Acceptance During Periods of Organizational Change".

While dedicated to her professional career, Erin is also dedicated to her community.  In 2007 Erin saw a need for strong communication analytics in a non-profit organization she was working with as a volunteer, but also saw the limiting budget that prohibited the hiring of such a resource.  By combining her strong business acumen with her background in organizational communication, Erin formed Communication Dynamics as a vehicle for assisting non-profit organizations in Western New York with their internal organizational communication needs.

Erin has worked with Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY since 2001 on the Ride for Roswell, a charity biking fund raiser that has raised millions of dollars to benefit cancer research and patient care.  What began as a way to give back to the hospital that helped her late Aunt Patty through her battle with colon cancer has evolved in to a passion for giving back to the community she lives in and beyond.  Erin was also Co-Chair of the Cycle for Survival-Buffalo Satellite Team benefitting rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer in New York City in 2012 & 2013.  In addition, Erin has been involved with the Junior League of Buffalo since 2001 serving in various volunteer capacities and sat on the Board of Directors as their Membership Vice President from 2008-2010.  Today she is a volunteer/mentor for the organization's Life Coach program.

While usually on the go, Erin is not all work and no play.  She enjoys writing, spinning, hiking, cooking, traveling, has a flair for making gourmet chocolate confections and enjoys nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.  You can also find Erin online as the founder & author of PumpkinsandSpice.com.
